For many groups, site selection is a consistent challenge—considering the growing number of meeting venues available and concerns over service standards. So, this year, when we put the call out to our readers to nominate meeting sites for ConventionSouth's annual Readers' Choice Awards, we asked readers to recommend only the best. While most all meeting sites go above and beyond in order to host great meetings, readers crafted detailed nominations for sites they felt displayed exemplary professionalism not only during the pre—contract period but after the contract is signed, during the pre—planning process and while attendees are on site. In fact, one reader said of their nominated site, "I have booked several events at this facility. The attention provided by the staff is second to none. They consistently provide outstanding customer service and go above and beyond what is customary."
We received hundreds of nominations for meeting destinations, convention centers, hotels and venues located within 14 states in the Southeast, and the following were chosen by ConventionSouth's editorial staff, based on detailed comments made by our readers. We feel the following select group of
meeting sites meet and exceed the high demands of meetings today—in both physical attributes and throughout their hospitality and customized service.
