central alabama

Once the capital of Alabama, Tuscaloosa is known worldwide as the home of the University of Alabama.

The University of Alabama campus is home to many meeting and event venues, including the largest meeting and event facility in the city, the 30,000-square-foot Bryant Conference Center which features a variety of spaces for groups of up to 1,000. Spaces include the 10,000-square-foot Sellers Auditorium, two multitiered conference rooms designed for classes, two executive boardrooms, and a lobby and pre-function area that can accommodate up to 250 for receptions.

"From a revitalized downtown to an array of new museums, restaurants, attractions and accommodations, Montgomery is becoming one of the newest must-see travel destinations," said Jina Clark, marketing director, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB.

The Doubletree by Hilton Montgomery Downtown opened this spring near the Montgomery Convention Center, important historical sites and the city's entertainment district. The 131-room hotel has 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Four-Diamond Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa pairs 342 rooms, a 14,00-square-foot ballroom and 18 meeting and breakout rooms with a location that is adjacent to the Montgomery Convention Center.

One of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, Auburn and Opelika combine university-city accommodations and facilities with historic, small town charm.

The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center, located across the street from the Auburn University campus and within walking distance of downtown, offers 22,000 square feet of meeting space with two formal ballrooms that accommodate up to 600 individuals, and a 356-seat auditorium.
