“We’re still in the midst of a multi-million dollar renaissance here in Dallas,” said Phillip Jones, CEO of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), pointing to the whopping $15 billion in new and ongoing developments occurring in the city. And the development is not slowing down soon as the city’s timeline for continued additions of everything from luxury accommodations and cultural attractions to parks and recreation enhancements continues into 2015.
“Dallas really has a great package to offer, and people seem to be happy with it considering the billions in development underway in the city,” Jones asserted. “We’re not having a hard time selling it.”
Meeting groups have more than 75,000 rooms to choose from in the Dallas greater metro area with accommodations ranging from luxury and boutique to family-friendly and economical. There are 7,574 rooms located within one mile of the Dallas Convention Center, a 2.2 million-square-foot LEED® EB Silver Certified building housing more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, 96 meeting rooms, a 9,816-seat arena and a 1,750-seat theater.
