If it’s infrastructure a meeting is looking for, Louisville has it, according to hospitality industry professionals. Add a central location that is within a day’s drive to over half the U.S. and affordability to the equation, and many groups find Louisville an attractive option. Those two characteristics were two of the primary draws for the Teratology Society’s choice to hold its 50 anniversary meeting in Louisville.

Lexington continues to add to its already considerable convention and tourism destination charms. There have been lots of developments in the past year for this city already well known as the Horse Capital of the World, as home to the University of Kentucky, and as the place where bluegrass and bourbon mix mighty fine.

Lexington Convention Center offers nearly 130,000 square feet of versatile meeting space. Around town, you'll find about 7,800 hotel rooms total.

The convention center is located on the banks of the Ohio River and is set to open January 2014 with 92,994 square feet of flexible meeting spaces, including a more than 44,000-square-foot exhibition hall.

The new facility is part of a revitalization occurring in downtown Owensboro that includes the opening of two hotels: a new 150-room Hampton Inn and Suites and a 120-room Holiday Inn, both of which will be adjacent to the center.

Northern Kentucky

Northern Kentucky is known as the "Southern Side of Cincinnati," the region encompasses several cities just south of the Ohio River from Cincinnati.

The Northern Kentucky CVB operates a 24/7 anytime assistance program for meeting planners, providing planning assistance 24 hours a day seven days a week.

The Northern Kentucky Convention Center, located in Covington, is the largest dedicated business-meeting facility in the northern part of the state with 110,000 square feet of function space in 15 meeting rooms.
