Fresh seafood, temperate climate, friendly atmosphere and exciting nightlife—that’s just part of the package available for meeting groups along the gulf coast region of Mississippi.

Encompassing the primary cities of Biloxi and Gulfport along 26 miles of beaches, the region has experienced a renaissance of growth and development over the past five years, allowing the area to attract more and more groups.

Angela Weathersby, events and CE coordinator with the Mississippi Nurses Association, noted that her experience with hosting the organization’s annual convention along the Gulf Coast has always been a “positive and fulfilling one.”

“We have held our conventions on the coast for numerous years because they are one of the few destinations that can accommodate our large group…and there is always much to do on the coast,” she said.
