With a Southern charm and personality all its own, the Mobile Bay metro area has offered meeting planners and their attendees a unique mix of city life with the gentle breezes of Gulf Coast beaches and delicious seafood for years, said Cheryl Ann Gee, director of sales and marketing at the Arthur R. Outlaw-Mobile Convention Center and Mobile Civic Center.

Mobile also offers an EasyWalk meetings package that includes seven hotels to accompany both the convention and civic centers, which altogether offers 1,312 sleeping rooms with numerous meeting space options at hotels and centers.

Meeting planners have raved about this coastal metro area for years, Gee said, stating that Mobile expresses the true essence of “Southern Hospitality.” For instance, Chesley Grove, an event planner with International Society of Automation, recently hosted an event at the Mobile Convention Center and had nothing but positive feedback about the experience.
