South Carolina Lowcountry

Charleston, Beaufort and Hilton Head are some of the major tourism areas of South Carolina's Lowcountry, an internationally renowned coastal region that's known for its historic cities and communities, natural beauty and unique cultural heritage.

Hilton Head Island

Located within driving distance of Savannah, Georgia, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Florida, and Charleston, SC, Hilton Head Island is not only a shopping paradise, but a golf destination.

The stunning red and white striped Harbour Town Golf Links Lighthouse recognizes the resort location as a golfer’s paradise. The PGA Tour’s Heritage Golf Tournament is held just after the Masters, and is a great event that truly puts Hilton Head on the map for golfers, visitors, and destination meetings.

Often referred to as “The Golf Island,” the premier golf destination has a year-round subtropical climate, along with an amazing repertoire of championship courses, including The Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Golf Links, the home to South Carolina’s only PGA tour – the Royal Bank of Canada – the RBC Heritage.

Charleston, South Carolina, a city famous for charm, history, and Southern hospitality where visitors come not only to enjoy what they see and experience, but to feel welcomed.

Charleston offers a cornucopia of attractions, plantations, horse drawn carriages in the downtown historic district, cruises, the Atlantic Ocean, and so much more. Charleston is a port for many cruise ships, including Carnival. The cruise ships dock at the Charleston Passenger Terminal, located on the harbor at Market Street and they are a beauty to admire while touring downtown.
