West Virginia

West Virginia is a state blessed with perhaps more mountains, rivers and forests than any other. That, combined with lots of interesting cities and small towns, along with a goodly number of meeting spaces for small- to medium-sized conventions, makes West Virginia a great choice for many meeting planners.

Charleston

Charleston, West Virginia is unlike any city in America. Affordable, family oriented and gracious, sophisticated with a cosmopolitan flair, the city believes in making a difference to everyone who visits.

Charleston’s small town charm and hospitality makes visitors feel welcome, like they are part of our community. Charleston is often recognized for its natural beauty, rich culture and friendly people.

Three major Interstates – I-64, I-77, and I-79 run through the city. Yeager Airport is located eight minutes from downtown Charleston, offering daily flights from Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston and Orlando.

Summersville

Summersville boasts the state's largest clear-water lake. Summersville Lake has all the normal lake activities and also a man-made beach and a lighthouse.

The Summersville Arena & Conference Center is a 73,000-square-foot multi-use facility containing a 24,000-square-foot main arena with seats that collapse and retract so that most of the space is available for exhibitions and special events.

Pipestem Resort

Pipestem Resort State Park offers 4,050 acres on the border between Mercer and Summers counties, and rests in the gorge of the Bluestone River. The property offers numerous outdoor recreational opportunities, 16,796 total square feet of conference space, the 113-room McKeever Lodge and the 30-room Mountain Creek Lodge, which is accessible only by an aerial tramway that carries you deep into the Bluestone Gorge.
